Tablogix launches new service for DIY suppliers
Tablogix has set up a specialist logistics operation for suppliers to the DIY trade and specifically those working with the new Leroy Merlin Distribution Center (LMDC) in South Gate Industrial Park, near Domodyedovo, south of Moscow.
Two major clients: Amber Wood, a Russian manufacturer of solid wood flooring and Kohler, the large American sanitary ware and fittings manufacturer, have taken advantage of the Tablogix warehouse facility which is just 10 minutes away, on internal site roads, for the LMDC. This ensures that all deliveries arrive on time at the distribution center, for onward shipment to the supermarkets across Russia, meaning that the full range of goods are permanently available for the final customer.
Tablogix are not only able to offer transportation services, using the warehouse’s own transport, to LMDC but also perform registration of deliveries on behalf of clients and also the possibility of consolidated loads. In addition Tablogix offers its full range of integrated IT services, including EDI and automated reporting. The warehouse makes use of optimized processes with Lean management and QMS. The initial operations have proved so successful that the current clients are now using the warehouse to supply other customers.
In the next 10 years Leroy Merlin aims to open more than 200 hypermarkets in Russia following the concept "low prices every day" and building effective collaboration with suppliers. Tablogix has a broad experience in managing operations with DIY products providing a comprehensive logistics support to suppliers of the retailer. In addition to standard warehouse services Tablogix provides information services for many other clients such as organizing of online support center and call center for customer care service.
